expectations
The limitations placed upon me to meet the expectations others...
Self-inflicted wounds...
Betrayal, anger and so much pain...
What was once a sarcophagus, is now the womb of my temple. I can no longer do the graveyard shift.
Out with the old, and in with the new!
How many times have you heard someone say, “Well I think you should,” or “You would be good at,” or “If I were you?” Many people are great conductors of the lives of others, and most times can barely manage their own day. It can feel like another form of control. In actuality, it is. It is the lack of self-control. When we give others permission to dictate, direct or greatly influence what we do, especially when it is to our detriment rather than in our best interest, we do ourselves a disservice. All counsel isn't good, and most isn’t Godly.
When a person is giving you advice, it should be sound. It should enhance your life and possibly the lives of others. For we are all connected in this puzzle called life. We all aspire to witness a beautiful work of art upon completion. What are you doing right now? Who are you doing it for? Is this a part of your vision? Are you seeing what God sees? Is it all about you, bigger than you, or does it have nothing to do with you at all?
Expect more! Expect greater. Expect your expectations to be superseded. When we trust the greatness that lives within and listen for the supernatural voice of the Most High God, we cannot go wrong. It is true, you shall have life and have it more abundantly. You will prosper and be in good health and anything that you ask in the name of the Father it will be given unto you.
I challenge you to be who God has called you to be on today. Live on purpose, in purpose. If you don't know what that is, expect to be blown away as you seek the answer today. You have been chosen, accepted and called … a few have been sent to cultivate you and sharpen your gifts in this process, but The One… is calling you higher. Expect the unexpected!
1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
TRUST THE PROCESS. IT SPEAKS TO YOUR CALLING. be uniquely you!
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
